  If you want a Doctor and his staff that wastes your time, charges you for appointments that are not needed, bills you twice for the same thing from two different sources and performs surgery that results in making your hands more numb than they were before, then this is the place for you. Buyer beware and try somewhere else you like wasting your time, money and you still have problems.

  I wish I could say I was impressed with Dr. Dinowitz, but I wasn't. Office staff was very pleasant and the practice appeared efficiently run, however, I found Dinowitz to be disconnected as a physician to the costs of healthcare, and lukewarm as a person. I arrived at his office with an initial diagnosis from a Nextcare PA, who two months prior had determined me to have a ganglion cyst. It made sense to me, since I was new to bowling, and ganglions are thought to be triggered by trauma that causes the joint tissue to bulge out. And that was exactly what appeared to have happened to me! I had switched to a heavier ball and the strain to my wrist was palpable. I've been lifting weights for years without ever experiencing the wrist pain precipitated by bowling. Two weeks after changing balls, a soft and very sore protrusion appeared on the inside of my bowling wrist. Dr. Dinowitz seemed dismissive of my account as to what triggered it, proffering that the act of bowling had instead triggered early arthritis in my hand. He had Xrays taken, and sounded only half-convinced himself that it was arthritis, acknowledging that the "cyst" portion was "too boggy" (his words) to aspirate. He suggested an Rx for Voltaren Gel, a NSAID, which I'm allergic to, then failed to offer any herbal alternative I could take, to relieve the soreness. Three-hundred and fifty dollars later ($350.00), I left his office with the same level of pain I'd arrived with, and no remedy in sight. Each solution he suggested had an additional price tag attached, such as getting tested by an allergist to see if the NSAID pathway I'm affected by when I take oral Advil would be likely to trigger the same allergic response when applying a topical like Voltaren. He ended the visit by suggesting I ice the wrist and sleep with a brace (the Nextcare PA already beat him to it) for the next three weeks before returning to his office for a Cortisone shot (at a total additional cost of $375.00). I've since gone to see a doctor of acupuncture, who isn't buying Dinowitz's diagnosis of arthritis; he is treating the inflammation as a ganglion cyst. And I'm happy to say that with just one treatment , the swelling and soreness has already subsided slightly. Unlike Dr. Dinowitz, Dr. Montoya was quick to recommend Tiger Balm, an herbal ointment available over-the-counter at Walmart, for under $10.00. FYI....no allergist visits required.
